HTC HD Mini

HTC announces the release of HD Mini. While the trend is to smartphones fairly large touchscreen, HTC is taking the market-cons foot by launching a model of its HTC HD2. All dressed in black, fitted with a capacitive screen, Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with HTC Sense, compatible with 3G, Edge and GPRS … Nothing of what is known in the HD Mini outside the processor, whose speed falls 600 MHz instead of 1 GHz for the HD2. In terms of communication options, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are still there. Support for video formats (WMV, ASF, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, M4V, AVI) and audio (AAC, AMR, M4A, MID, MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA QCP) provides the opportunity to watch a movie or listen to his music everywhere.

The definition goes to 320 x 480
Mini requires, however, lose the screen size (with a diagonal measurement of 8.2 cm against 10.9 for the HD2) and the definition of 320 x 480 pixels seems a bit just to watch a feature film. In addition to his screen shrunk the HD Mini loses a few ounces since he weighs more than 110. Autonomy announced, however, is more than 10 hours in music, video and 8 h, most importantly, 6 h 40 min in communication and 500 hours standby.

Among these applications, we find Sense, the overlay oriented social networks and personal contacts from HTC, and HTC Peep Twitter. Finally, the HTC HD Mini ensures compatibility with a wide range of files from the Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook), PDF files and some image files.

The availability of HD Mini is planned for April at a price of 449 EUR without subscription.
