Five employees of France Telecom suicide within two weeks which increase the concern in the administration of semi-public company , and since 2008 have committed suicide 58 employees.
With two new deaths , the number of suicides this year was 23 , but … has been known to relate to working conditions in the giant telecommunications company , which employs 100,000 workers.
In April, the prosecutor in Paris opened a judicial investigation into the case after a complaint lodged by the Sud PTT union accusing France Telecom had deliberately created an intolerable working environment to employees to resign and the company to reduce its workforce and thus limiting its costs.
Because France Telecom is semi- firm , many employees are civil servants and can not be fired.
In February , a report on working conditions in France Telecom presented to the Paris prosecutor concluded that the file can be formed and charged the company for harassment .
In July a court ruled that the suicides may be classified as an accident , the suicide , 51, had left a farewell note said that working conditions led him to act.
