bit.ly reported by OpenDNS as a phishing site?

After using bit.ly for several months, tonight to my surprise, while I tried to open it, I got from OpenDNS service a message that it is a phishing site.

OpenDNS launched this new feature for protecting against phishing sites but it appears that it is not working well. I contacted them saying that bit.ly is a trustworthy site and not phishing. Let’s see.

In the meanwhile I reverted to my ISP DNS servers…

  2. This was corrected within minutes of it being reported. There was a phishing site using a bit.ly URL – We have since added bit.ly to our phishing whitelist.
