Google wants the death of Internet Explorer 6 that will not proceed otherwise. After announcing that some older versions of browsers, including IE6, no longer enjoy the updates for Google Docs and Google Sites (web site creation), the Web giant says that the same software can not view the future functions of YouTube.

In the FAQ site for sharing videos, YouTube said that “However, users can still watch clips »But does not access functions that will be launched in the coming weeks.

Internet Explorer 6 is the only software to be explicitly named by the U.S.. It is however not the only one affected by this measure. Earlier versions Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox 3.0, Chrome 4.0 and Safari 3.0 + will experience the same fate.

In a screenshot posted in the FAQ, YouTube said that from March 13, 2010, it will stop all support for older versions of these browsers. So, now invites Does the Internet to update itself.

Users who connect to the site from a technically obsolete software are shown a warning message offering to download the latest versions of browsers. « This message will appear every two weeks to remind users still on older versions of the update. The warning will come back indefinitely until the user has updated its browser. »
